Yeah.. that thing was a bit of a bust. This is EXACTLY what I wanted. Those who got them, it worked. At least one had a failure but it was from for soldering and they got it working again. The biggest issue was the developer/seller not shipping timely or at all. Then the site finally went down. The item seems NLA. I think its a pretty straight forward setup with lots of wiring and an Arduino module. Someone who has one would have to be able to ship it to someone for some reverse engineering. Or someone needs to re-invent this thing.

It hooks into the aux input and provides Bluetooth along with voice control. Only the steering wheel control I use is the volume.

I use this -
Amazon Amazon

It works great and is inexpensive. Just plugs into your AUX port and power then connect to your phone. It cuts off when no power and cuts on when you start the car up by itself. You can still run your phone through the Bluetooth in the car for the phone without issue. It automatically connects to your phone when you turn on the rig too you don't have to connect it every time. You do not have the wheel control capability to change song though.
The only down side I've had was every blue moon it will not connect automatically to my phone and i have to go into setting and connect it, but that is far and few between.
aside from that it has been great and well worth the 20+ bucks.

^Yes, that's a new product. But like the others for me its a no-go. I prefer my steering controls. But its the best option out there since you do not have to plug your device into the AUX port and I think it does not have the low volume issue associated with the factory aux port.

I had read reviews where the low volume was still and issue with that item.

This has worked wonders for me https://britishamericanconcepts.com/product/lrbt-1/ You do not have the control over track via the steering wheel, but i use apple music so I normally listening to different playlists I have created so rarely am bouncing around an album for the good dongs.
