My Coopers lasted a really long time. But my new Bridgestone AT tires with just a few thousand miles are cracking...

I run Cooper Zeon LTZ. I'm on my second pair. Not easy to find but have worked well in all conditions I've used. Similar use to what you've listed.

For cracking they should be warrantied no ?
I'm about to order the Bridgestone Aleza 255/60r18
they seem the highest rated on Tire Rack in this oem size.

My Bridgeton's are the Revo 3s, an AT tire. And yes, I am going this weekend to have the cracks looked at. They are not large, but all four show it on every lug. Annoyed since these were def not my first tire choice, I wanted Toyo.

I have run Yokohama Geolanders on my 2006 and I wouldn't buy them again. They did decent in packed snow but not so good when it got deep and more two-track than packed. Also, I gashed a sidewall on one going over NOTHING....and I have uneven wear on the passenger side that is so bad that I have to replace 2 and hope that the tread depth delta isn't large enough to cause issues with the TC and 4WD system. I plan on putting the two brand new ones in the rear; then the semi-new one (after the sidewall gashing) up front with the one that isn't getting replaced. I think it will work out, but eventually I'm in the market for a better tire. I love the snowflake symbol and how it did on mountain passes, but don't love the lack of toughness and this is the LR3 I want to eventually take over Black Bear Pass.

I'm on BFG K02s and really like them so far. Had Nitto Terrain Grapplers prior, and they were okay. I had the chance to take both tires up into a few feet of snow. The terrain grapples did okay, but definitely drove more confidently in the snow with the K02 tires. I'll likely do another set of K02 if/when the time comes.

I’ve got Yokohama Geolandar A/T G015 on mine. They have done well for our use —very long stretches of highway with mixed forest roads. We’ve only gone to an ORV park once, but the tires did great. The selling point for me was the 3PMSF rating and they give great mileage, I consistently get 20+ mpg at 65-70mph. To be fair, I call these a “mall terrain” tire because I wouldn’t want to take them rock crawling or on a sustained overlanding trip, but they are perfect for my needs. I also have r19, so my choices were more limited.

The Geolanders did great here in the winter on the roads and the mountain passes. I was on a backroad in Bend in Feb or March 2021 and driving in a two-track cut in snow. The ruts were probably 10" deep and I had to make a tight 3 (or 4) point turn. While crossing over the ruts, I got stuck, but eventually got myself out. I wasn't alone; my buddy in his Tacoma was there too. By "myself" I mean without a tow strap or anything. Sure, the tires took the L that time, but it was asking a lot of them I guess.

The other thing is that I got that punctured sidewall at Tahuya, man. TAHUYA....WTF? As for the uneven wear, I am starting to think my bearings are shot on that side. I am hearing a sound that makes me think the engine is revving high and I'm expecting a shift to the next gear up but I look down and I'm at like 1500 RPMs. I am going to do the shake test this afternoon.

Our car is supposed to have 33 front 42 rear. But these Hankook All Terrain are different from the Oem tires. Was wondering if I should have filled these to a different number.
I read once that the early 2006 LR3 had an odd issue with wearing out tires unevenly. The new Goodyear Wrangler tires that came on this Certified car started making noise in 16-20k miles..the Firestone that we replaced them with were perfect no noise till the end but they discontinued them so we put Hankook those were perfect but in the very end they proved a bit to be not quite as good as the Firestone. Then it's these bigger aggressive Hankook 265/60R18 AT Dyna which look great but always a little noisy but at 37K unbearable noise.
I need new tires now.
Maybe the Bridgestone Aleza (?) Oem size .
We sure liked the look of the Hankook 265/60R18 AT tires but always too noisy I think less gas mileage too and 37K too short a life span
We got the new oem size tires Bridgestone Alezia and the humming sound from the rear is still there..oh my goodness $1251 plus $100 and no solution. My two front bearings were changed with OEM timken and rear bushings done in rear this year..so that leaves ?? : (

Default Defender LTX 265/70r18?

Just bought a 2007 LR3 and will need some new tires in the next few months, and thought I'd tag on here rather than starting yet another tire thread.

This LR3 will get mostly city and highway miles, mixed with hunting/fishing trips that require light offloading capability and with towing an enclosed car trailer up to 1500 miles a couple times each year. I've preferred 10ply tires for heavy vehicles and for towing, and the Michelin Defender series caught my eye but the closest size in a 10ply is 265/70r18 at 32.5". I think this should work on stock lr3s, but can anyone confirm? Other recommendations for my use?
Thanks in advance,
Henry
