Yep. Just strange the issues popped up after changing those parts out. Like you said, maybe you disturbed something while in there doing coils...

Just to be certain it could not be an injector issue, at 203,000 miles, I ordered a rebuilt kit (o-rings, filters and such). Found a nice clear video on doing so that seems better than the methods I have used in the past on prior cars. So no matter what I find with the pump, if anything, a good injector cleaning beyond tank additives should be nothing but a good thing.

Small update....

Cleaned the injectors and put new filters, o-rings and tips on em. I am not certain, but I may have messed two of them up. When I was doing them, I was using a fuel hose like in the video but noticed some bits came off of it upon removal. Well, the first ones I removed the filters first. I think I may have got some small bit inside em. With that said, the spay patterns did improve a lot BUT I noticed some sprayed straight out and some were more like the preview pic above - angled. So there is some inconsistency. I am temped to pick up a cheap Amazon set for $90 and just put all new ones in. The removal and install is not difficult after all.

I did test the fuel pressure to by installing my special gauge on the tank output then jumping the relay. My gauge may be a little off but I was reading 62psi. Which should be plenty of fuel pressure to not cause lean issues at idle - which is what is happening.

I did find something new today. Once again I stuff every vacuum port closed that I could find. So PCV at intake behind throttle and the PCV hose at intake tube. And I plugged EVAP. But this time I anchored the fan so I could hear better and finally hear a very loud hiss coming from behind the engine on the left side - as you face the engine standing in front. I have not pin pointed it yet, but it is 100% noticeable. My neighbors truck produces no noise back there. I know there is a EVAP valve back and below in the same spot, but with EVAP vacuum hose unplugged, it certainly can not be that. The only known vacuum port behind the engine that I know if is for brake booster. Wiggling that did not change anything. It is really hard to see behind there, but I may remove the rear intake plenum cover and replace the gasket. Since it is happening on both banks, it rules out an intake lake that is inline with a cylinder. That would cause a specific misfire, etc. So I can only think it is the rear cover plate.

Very curious to see what you ultimately find. Good luck!

I am too. If it is the rear intake mental plate cover thing I will be very intrigued. Because last time I had issues with lean codes, that sorta just went away, I actually bought the gasket from AB. That was back in 2021 according to the invoice. So I suspected the gasket in the past. I just don't see how it could leak unless the factory pinched it on install.

With that said, I decided to order a complete intake gasket set from Atlantic British (via Amazon). The kit is $109 for upper and lower intake gaskets, another rear plate gasket like I have, throttle housing to plastic gasket (green round one) and ERG gaskets. So it is a pretty good deal. Keep in mind when orders gaskets that there was a change in styles for the ones that interface the plastic intake to the metal runners/risers. Early ones use green rubber gaskets with a couple weird **** attached. Later one they are round-ish normal looking gaskets, usually red/tan in color. Just mentioning this for posterity. I will also be ordering a used intake itself because there is always a chance mine is cracked. So the gasket kit is actually for that one which I will bench rebuild then simply swap over. Will probably order valve cover gaskets too since mine have a slight leak.
