Right, so when you go to bolt on the new link, look at the upper control arm and see if it's making contact with the shock. If it is, you need a new shock. Also be careful when you torque down the new link because if the control arm is drooping extra low, you could bend the link as you tighten it.

This actually happened to my vehicle. The knucklehead tech at the dealer just kept on torquing until the new link was bent. Needless to say I didn't pay for that part or labor...and that was the last time that tech ever touched my LR3.
