Default LR3 won't go over 10MPH

My wife just brought her LR3 home. It won't drive over 10 MPH or so. It idles and runs fine, but you can put the peddle to the floor and it won't go over 5 or 10 mph. No codes are tripping and it isn't running differently. It is fairly cold out, -24c but we have driven it in this weather before this year. Any ideas???

Would need a little more information to even begin to guess at it. Is it not going over 10 because the engine wont rev up, or is it that the tranny wont shift out of 1st or does it feel like it's slipping, does it feel like it's stuck in Low range, what exactly is it doing?

Also, I'm assuming you read the owner's manual and are familiar with the TC shifter and the TRS **** an all their functions so that something as simple as maybe she inadvertently put the LR3 on Rock Crawl mode can be ruled out, or should we start with the obvious?

Well after she got it home, i let it run for 1/2 hr. I put some gasline antifreeze in the tank, still nothing. I could put the gas peddle to the floor in park and it would rev to about 1000 rpm. It was showing an engine fault when i turned it off. I restarted it and it was perfectly fine. I drove it for an hour and it was perfect. No idea what the problem was but it seemed to go away....hopefully for good. Thanks Jantiz

that one needs an ids scan no ideas without it, fuel maybe, maybe a bad diode on the coil packs but usually a stall with that, fuel presure delivery or a bad pot set on the gas pedal. get it coded then return scott
