Default LR3 won't shift into Drive

when trying to shift into drive, lever sort of springs back toward N. "D" never shows up on dash. When I put in manual mode car still will not move, when I give it gas it sounds like it is in neutral. Reverse works fine.

Any suggestions?

Shift linkage is probably bound up. Sometimes you can pull the transmission cover and spray the linkage as a temporary fix.
