Modifications: More HP or Torque from V8?

I've searched the web and all the LR forums. I can't find anyone that has modified anything in their LR3 to increase horsepower or torque, so I figured it was time to post.
I've ran into a few posts about chips and K&N filters, but no real solid advice.
I'm not interested in going faster, but I do pull a travel trailer and I just need a [I]bit more power[I] to have my RPM's in the "sweet spot" so I don't need to switch gears as often.
Anyone out there do any modifications they would recommend?

The filter mentioned does not warranty the filter for off road use. So why bother, when a handful of spanish moss will do the same thing. Just lets too much dirt thru for the various sensors. Does make more noise, so it sounds more powerful.
The $69 chips try to fool the IAT sensor into thinking the air coming into the engine is a different temp and let the ECU command more fuel. But the ECU is pretty smart and soon adapts to this and sees that other sensors are still showing something different so it eases back to normal conditions.
Certainly there may be chips and reflash and programming somewhere that could boost things slightly, but not for $69.
New cam shaft and other engine mods may provide some relief. And then there is this...
