Tom,
Under the r/s kick panel thee is a black connector with maybe 8 wires.
This is for the navigation. Disconnect it, check and clean the corrosion
off the terminals or splice the wires together as needed.

Default infotainment system link

The link below is to a number of infotainment system files including wiring diagrams. Those should help as it may just be a lack of power to the NAV and that can be just a fuse such as 10 amp F58P in the passenger side fuse box. Also check F52, F53, and F57 for starters. Of course, if any are blown, the question is then why?

If your radio still operates, then that is good news as the problem is probably within the NAV system wiring and not something to do with the MOST, the optical buss that is a bit of a black art.

ok it is fixed sort of, while driving in the bad storms and tornados a few weekends back i lost suspension and tons of codes( awsome time for this to happen) so when i pulled the pass side , side kick pannel i found a connector unplugged easy fix, i also found a thin red wire in the pass side rocker disconnected, so re spliced it and now nav works , cdplayer has power display is up for nav where previously it sad not installed on the screen

i still cannot use the nav though shows no gps signal, guessing this is the wire i got unplugged under the center brake light from swapping the hatch

so i guess i will eventualy be buying a lens if i want this working and it answers the question of what that cable went to, ugh

Default still have the old upper hatch

If you still had the old upper hatch, consider breaking out the GPS antenna from under the red plastic. If you can, and the connectors still work, consider locating the connected GPS antenna anywhere up against the rear glass roof.

I have a cell phone antenna located between the roof liner and the rear roof glass and signal wise, it seems to see the towers.

Default antenna might be a seperate part number

All the Discovery's had the high mount red lenses but not all, GPS.

As such, I wonder is the GPS antenna is a separate part number that inserts into the red lenses.

I think those Shark antennas on the newer 3's contained cell phone and Sirius antennas only and never the GPS but I could be wrong there.

Both ideas may be worth further investigation.

Alternatively, find a wrecked 3 and see if you can get the lenses.

It could be possible that a sharks fin off a Sport contains the GPS antenna however.
