Navteq DVD replacement
The DVD player is beneath the drivers seat. In my case I moved the seat all the way forward and raised it to the maximum height. From there you can reach over the top from the rear seat. It may be possible to remove some trim to access from the front, but I didn't try that.
There is a lock switch and eject button to release the dvd.

I see the latest Nav update on the LR site Nav update site for $199.
Does anyone know if there is a difference in the onscreen displays? points of interest, etc? As my LR3 was a lease return, the 'dealer' gave me an older DVD (2004 I think) which works, but I'm wondering if the changes go beyond simply updated roadmaps and points of interest.

I got my new DVD today. It changes the screens some what but nothing significant.
It is a pain changing it on a SE. Bring your seat all the way forward, remove the plastic dust cover under the seat (you really have to pull hard on each end of it), slid the seat back until you can clearly see the face of the GPS player but leave plenty of room between the player and a metal bracket that is hanging down, release the old DVD, slid your fingers in and slowly pry out the old DVD and insert new one then reverse the process.

Those of you with the older NAV DVD have a special "hack" code available to you. Don't just blindly install the new DVD, as it will probably load new software, which will remove the special hack that allows you to use the NAV while driving. See older posts from 2007 about this. There is a way to update, but it requires some work to strip the file from the DVD disk.
Not to hi-jack the thread, but could anyone post a shot of your LR3 navigation interface using the latest disc? As I have mentioned, I purchased my LR3 from a dealer that picked it up at auction for lease return vehicles. He claimed most everything was missing, including the second key, wireless headphones and video controller for the DVD player, the Navigation disk, etc.
I insisted on the nav disk, and he finally came up with a disk labeled Land Rover copyright 2004. I am hopeful that the new disk improves on what I have, but don't want to drop $200 to find out.
Thanks in advance.

Got mine today, 08-09 but I don't want to mess with installing it with the outside temp droping under 20. I will do it Friday when it should hike up to 46. I'll post back on any obvious changes from the 05-06 version.
