Need to replace my AMK compressor. Arnott?
I posted a while back about the compressor not raising the truck anymore. It was an AMK installed in 2012. Had the codes read, and looks to be the compressor. No signs of leaks anywhere or other issues.
Question is, does anyone know of a good spot to buy just the compressor. Most places I see looks to sell the entire thing with brackets and all. I don't need that, just the compressor and a new relay. I heard they started selling just that as it years after they switched to the new style. I usually buy from AB, but looks like they still focus on the Hitachi.
Looks like BPUtah has one "without cover" for $650. Arnott sells an "amk" one too, and looks like they have a 2 year warranty. Anyone with any experience with either?

I would double check before getting a new one, I have yet to see an AMK unit fail (second design at least, first was only factory install on late 11/early12s, never a retro-fit)
A bad seal on the pressure sensor, or the feed line to the compressor valve block will both trigger C1A20-64 fault, is that the code you're getting?

Nope... the AMK unit failed. Talked to a LR tech that said they are actually selling/ordering the AMK units as a pump-only item as they are starting to see failures. Got a new one with all the extra hoses, relay, mountings and case from LR for $700 (with an employee discount). Put her in and all is good again.

It was pressure supply. It happened slowly over the course of a month or so. I don't drive it much over the summer. First I noticed it was taking longer to do small adjustments when I first started the truck. Then, I had dropped it down in access when loading some bricks in. It said something like "taking long time to raise". It raised though, but took a bit. Then finally, just would not raise anymore. The pump would run, but nothing happening.
