I am talking with a company in the UK regarding a bumper that they are just starting to make and would like to know what you guys think? I actually really like it and think there is a market for it over here in the US. I have talked to them and have paid for one to be shipped. This is a new product line for them in the LR3/4.

Now here is my DISCLAIMER: I am not part of this company nor do I have any affiliations with it either in whole or part nor am I reperesentative of any distributors for this company. I know that they will be looking for a distrubutor for them over here in the US

G Reeves- Really like the look of this bumper. Is this the correct website (www.tp4x4.com)? How much was it w/ shipping to the US?

Thanks in advance!

There's no listing for anything LR3 related on that site.... good looking kit though.

As this will be the first one in the US and I have been talking to them I got the shipping at a discounted price. They are just getting in the LR3/LR4 market and the one that I will be getting is a test for them to see if there is a market for these in the US. They are also developing other products as well which will come on line soon.

I see the webpage is now up for the discovery 3 and 4 products

Discovery 3 | Torque Performance 4×4

Bumper is $763.66 at current exchange rates before shipping. I've asked them for a shipping quote will report back when received.

What about airflow issues?

I would imagine all winch bumpers alter/restrict airflow to a certain degree. The front grill still looks reasonably open. A winch would be mounted lower than the grill so 'some' air should still get in.

Got a shipping quote of between $680 and $740 to deliver to west coast (Washington). Would be better if they can find a US distributor and ship rather than air freight over.

So the total is around $1500 before any import duties are applied - not a cheap option.

Does the LR3's air suspension adapt to the increased weight of aftermarket front bumper? On a vehicle with more normal suspension, I would expect to have to install stiffer springs to prevent sagging in the front.

I don't know that it does...and I have read that others have used a rod-mod or IIDTool to set it up higher to account for the added weight.
