All that has been said there is little to add. Do have it checked by a reliable technician. If you can find where the owner had it serviced and ask them if there are any issues that they noticed when it was there last, it can be a great source of information that the owner might not let you know or even know themselves. It will be worth the money spent to have it inspected.

Have someone look over it. I'd never owned a Land Rover but always wanted to and fell in love with the LR3 when it was first released. Owning is a rollercoaster ride, but part of the attraction for me what getting to know your vehicle. I've had plenty of issues in two years of ownership, things will go wrong as they are aging, but there are a lot of great people out there to help you on your way. Finding a good LR specialist is key too so if you are in an area that lacks this, factor it in. A lot of places you call will more often tell you, "We don't work on Land Rovers".

The GAP IID tool has been invaluable and a definitely must have if you do purchase.

Good luck with your decision and purchase.
