Default New rear drive shaft vibration

I installed a new rear driveshaft in my 2006 lr3. I took it for a test drive and around 50mph I get a low hum from vibration. This is my first install. Any suggestions?? I'm assuming I did something wrong

I'm guessing you have a bad wheel bearing or rear diff, or something else. Did the symptoms change from the original drive shaft to the new one?

No change with new shaft, didn't need to replace it. Think I was misdirected in another post. I swapped tires, nothing. Jacked up the rear and didn't feel any play in either rear wheel at all.

When I had the shaft off there seemed to be a lot of backlash in the rear diff when I turned the flange back and forth. Not sure how much is too much.

Guess I'll have to take it to the dealer. It's beyond my (very)limited ability haha

Where are you located, maybe we can find you a reasonable independent in your area. I'm thinking wheel bearing or diff.

I'm about 25miles south of St. Louis MO. If my diff is out it would give me an excuse to go with an ARB locker wouldn't it??

At the stealer, they say rear diff is really bad. Front has been howling for a while too.

And along with that....front brakes, both front lower control arms, tire balance, alignment. The total estimated cost.........1 miiilllion dollars...close to it $8860

Thanks again. I dropped you a line last month. I need to contact a shop and get pricing for removal of the old and install of the new one....and dig up some funds.
