Just picked up an 08 LR3 with 53k on the odo, got a clean history and great service record however we still purchased another 36k warranty. Hopefully wont have to use it all that often. Wifey and I really like the way it goes down the road and so far very pleased with purchase she tows here and there got fingers crossed with that lots of great info on here I got some reading too do. Looks like first thing is change diff and tranny fluid. My other car has a crazy awd system so I am aware of preventative maintenance on awd which seems very beneficial to the LR3

 

I'm not sure the trans fluid is worth changing right now, but the transfer case and the front and rear diff would be good and fairly cheap. You didn't say if you have the locking rear diff which makes the fluid more special (aka expensive).
