Default New Stuff

Well my third deployment is almost over and my wife said my garage is starting to look like a parts wear house with all my orders. Last night I just bought the
a frame guard. Over the past 11 months I picked up rear light guards, i pod wire, snorkel, custom dash mat, rain guards and a few other things. My wife had my seats redone so it looks brand new inside again.

I was thinking of ordering some lift rods but I do tow our camper and was not sure if I would have any issues. I want to put everything on when I get home but then on the other hand I was thinking of asking the wife to bring it someplace and have the a frame and snorkel put on so I do not have to do it when I get home. Has anyone installed those items and if so how much work is involved in the instillation?

I'd skip the lift rods and get the IIDTool instead.

Curious about your custom dash mat. How does it look? What's it made of? How much did it cost?

Well my wife took my LR to get the front bumper put on for me the other day as one of my coming home gifts which made my day. I should be home right before Christmas with any luck so I will see what else I can convince her into letting me get.

When I get home I have my snorkel to put on and I have to figure out what type of lights to put on the A frame bar now. I would use OEM LR ones but they cost way to much.

I will see if I can get my wife to send me a picture and link for the dash cover to post. I have not seen it in person yet but she said it is really nice. My dash has a small hairline crack down the center is the only reason we bought a cover.

Here is the link to the place we bought our dash cover. The price was around 50 dollars. We bought the black Velour one with the cut out for the headlight sensor it cost 5 bucks more. Keri told me it lays down really well and does not look like a cheap one for the 70's.

Yeah my 06 the dash is cracking on the outline for the airbag on pass side, not bad

My05 has tiny cracks starting from both small defroster vents on the ends of the dash

Is that a bar what you got installed or did you get an aftermarket bumper?

Not sure your style but the china Cree led light bars are stupid bright and priced good, have em on my d1 , brighter the the hellas light is a bluish white instead of the incadecent beige light color

I've also got the Dash cracking issue. It seems to be a widespread issue in the US. My friends in South Africa have a big shop, and they say they've never seen one. Odd..

On the front light, I would consider Rigid Industries LED lights. I have a 40" up top and two 10" in the rear. You might not want that much light but a 10 or 20" one would do nicely up front.

The are a bit pricey, but well worth the investment.

I've got a few pictures if you're interested.
