No Indy Shop Options
Need to get my new to me 06 into a shop to diagnose rear clunk (guessing co trip arm bushings) and jus give the truck a general inspection. Problem is I do not have any real Indy shops close enough to be an option. This leaves me with a general mechanic. Looking for advice in handling this where the shop likely has not seen many, if any, LR3’s. I wouldn’t think most items are really that specialized except for suspension and some other things that I have a GAP tool for anyway. But say for example the control arms need done, is this something I should order the OE parts and then just have the shop install? Or just let the shop know the parts you want used? Seems like they normally want to order the parts themselves or they won’t warranty labor for replacement if the part fails.
Anyway, if there is any advice out there for handling a Land Rover with a local general shop, would be appreciated.
tks
