Non HD Package LR3 - "Progressive" / "Locking" Diffs Engaged in GGS / Sand Mode?
Gents... I have a 2008 LR3 SE. Admittedly, I have a love-hate relationship with this car. I love Land Rover, but this car has been "difficult." Here is my amateurish question (thank you in advance for answering). QUESTION: IN A NON-HD LR3 SE, DOES THE TRACTION CONTROL "LOCK" THE DIFF IN GGS OR SAND MODE? I have spent limited time in this car off of roads so I apologize if I sound like an idiot here - I understand that I don't actually have locking diffs in the rear but that the TR acts as a progressive weight and torque transfer that mimics some of a traditional locking diff performance. HOWEVER, when I look at the dashboard GUI showing 4x4, both of my locks seem never to show a lock - they don't turn red or close. Should either the center or rear diff show "locked" in GGS or Sand TR mode? Thanks. I really appreciate your help.
