My 2005 LR3 is tripping a parking brake fault whenever I slow down or come to a stop. Anyone else have this issue??

Also everytime I go over a small pothole or bump in the road I hear a hollow sound (thud) from the front rignt suspension, maybe a ball joint. The dealer said it was a strut, but I don't know.

i have had the same issue now with the parking break fault for over a month and the dealer has had my truck for two weeks now they still haven't found the problem if i found out anything i will post it and keep you updated!!

 

We have the same parking break fault with our LR3. Taking into the shop for service this week and will keep you posted on the issue.

 

Mine is on all the time. Plus, I font think the parking brake works, either. Also I have a hdc fault, so is there a chance that the problem is related?

 

I had the same fault massages before. Check your battery. I had mine changed and all the fault massages went away. My gear even locked up when i started my car before I had the battery changed.

 

OK - I had the entire module replaced last week at an independent shop. My lights went away, except for the amber "brake" light and my mechanic told me that I would have to take it to the dealer for programming and to clear the codes. I took it to the dealership and spent 5 hours and didn't get anywhere. Everything checked out fine and they told me I'd have to bring it back in and leave it for a day so they could take the seats out and check wiring.

 

Snowplower, did you ever find out what was wrong and get it fixed?
