EstorilM -

I think the "purge" thing you're talking about is with the updated software for the AMK compressor. This was done to reduce overall system pressure so that the compressor doesn't have to struggle quite as much on startup the next time. I don't believe any of the Hitachi software versions purge the air down to the lower pressure numbers, do they? Or are you saying that this was incorporated into all of the compressor software updates? Either way, the GAP tool will allow you to update the EAS ECU to the newest software version (it has both AMK and Hitachi builds).

@cmbs6s

Are both firmware versions compatible between compressors? Or is there a "new" firmware version for those of us who still have hitachis?

EDIT: just read the GAP manual again, answered my own question. There are updated versions for both

Correct. There are updated versions of both software builds on the IID Tool.

All I can tell you is that this was on my RRS which I got at around 62k miles, AFAIK it was serviced at Jag/LR Chantilly most of its life and I never personally modified or changed the air compressor or the software, but do know that all the other modules had the latest software installed.

Nice. Mine spent most of its life there before I found it.
