Yeah, IIRC Arnott rebuilds are just taking old shocks and putting a new airbag on top of it. As Forrest Gump said, those struts "are like a box of chocolates... you never know what you're gonna get." I would certainly want my shocks (and not just the bags) refreshed if I had over 100k miles on the old ones.

I just replaced the factory bags on the 07 LR3 with the newer style Arnotts. I was quite impressed with the quality of the Arnott build vs the factory. Mine show a build in July of 16 and show "Air Springs By: Continental Contitech" decal-ed on the pressure canister.

The right front strut on our LR3 is leaking. I can get used struts for around $50 but with all of the work to install, I would rather put in a new part. I ordered an open box Arnott AS 2809 from Ebay, $128, score! I ordered a second one from the same seller at the same price. The first one arrived, just as pictured and listed, perfect, brand new Arnott AS2809 strut. The second one arrived and looked new, but was not Arnott and had no marking to identify the maker or the vehicle for which is was designed. Sent it back after a bit of a delay from the seller. Sourced out of the USA, but the seller is based in Israel. I am now on the hunt for another Arnott strut. Best price I have found is around $260 delivered. These trucks are killing my wallet, struts, lower control arms, alternators, now my console cooler box isn't working, life is tough. And I just dropped by son's 4Runner off at the shop for a new timing belt. When it rains it pours..........
