Default What's your height off-road?

I was just curious what height you guys run at above "zero calibration" when you go off-road. I generally run around at full IID Gap Tool lift all the time, which equates to about +1.8" for me. I will usually run at this height over rough, but flat off-road surfaces. When it gets to more challenging stuff, I hit the off-road height selector switch for another 2" or so for a total of +3.8" over the zero calibration mark. Haven't had any CV issues yet, but I do try to be slow and steady with the gas.

So... do you guys with the IID tool or lift rods just run all the time at that height or do you ever punch the off-road switch and run at X + 2"? What height do you use for the technical stuff?

Off pavement, usually +35mm with IID, on ruts or lots of rocks/etc. I will go to 'off-road height'

Highest I have ever done was +35mm (+) 2" off-road height (+) extended mode. That was because I got stuck in sand, EAS computer got tricked etc. Very funny looking amount of lift once someone pulled me out. 5-6"?

I am glad you are fine running your normal IID lift daily, I did for a while and started wondering about CV angles and went back to stock height. May go back...

Proud Rhino lift rods, so 2-2.5" daily. Will engage off-road height on slower, more technical terrain.

It would be interesting to see if anyone has fabbed up something to drop the diffs a couple of inches so you could run at off-road height all the time while sparing your CV joints. Lucky8 has been running an LR3 with 35s by cutting the fenders. Maybe they are playing with this idea.

I think the LR3 looks better in the off-road height. More like a Rover should IMO.

I'm at stock height around town...even with the 32s on. If I am on a non-technical off-road section like a forest service road I'll go to off-road height but not go up with the IIDTool. Once I'm on the "official" trail I plug in the tool and will be at Off-Road Height + 2" or a bit less than 2, probably 1.8....I've never really measured. It's just enough so that I won't rub and not so much that I will throw out-of-range EAS faults.

I'm not worried about CVs at all in this paradigm. Only time I'm at a height taller than original Off-Road Height is for the technical/trail parts and that's like....idk...5-10 Miles maybe.
