Default Power Steering Flush

Had my steering system flushed last night as my mechanic had put regular hydraulic oil in when he changed the rack. He disconnected every line he could and blew them out with compressed air to try and get as much of the old fluid out as possible and then filled with ACE oil. I wasn't sure how much the total system would need, I picked up 5 litres of oil but it only needed less than 1. Will sleep much better now that it's done as I don't need a pump going out on me...lol

As a related side note, when I went into the dealer to get the oil, I told the parts guy I needed some ps fluid... he disappears into the bowels of the parts dept and is gone far longer than he should have been. The parts manager comes by, asks if I've been taken care of and proceeded to his office. The parts guy eventually comes back with 1 litre of fluid. I told him I would probably need 4 or 5 and he says that was all they had and wouldn't be getting more till next week. The manager heard the conversation, comes out and hears the problem and disappears into the service bays and comes back 5 minutes later with 4 more litres of oil that he had gone around and gathered all the partial bottles on the techs benches and poured to make 4 full jugs. Whatever I don't use, I can return for refund. This qualifies the manager for commendation to the dealership as he went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. Will drop off a tray of Tim's to also show my gratitude.
