Pro-active Maintenance - Air Suspension components-
All,
Just wanted to get feedback on my prospective proactive maintenance. My all my air suspension components are original, 2007 (90k miles now) and I am thinking about replacing before failure.
In the collective LR3/4 community, what would be the first component to replace? I have an AMK compressor that seems to be running fine, though i have no comparison, as well as the air struts. The only issue I had was compressor overheating a bit whilst doing some rockcrawling on a trail ride this weekend (raising up, down often). So just thought I would throw it out there-
Which would you all proactively replace first in the Air Suspension system?
Thanks! Mild Rockcrawl, Potts Mt. VA
The dryer is the big ticket item. That desiccant will NOT be in good shape and has already likely contaminated the lines/valve blocks. I did not think AMK was used in 2007 model years though. And on that note, I know of no rebuild kits/items for the AMK. The Hitachi mode is superior in that aspect, easily rebuildable.
Thanks-
I believe it is an AMK as when i look at the software installed through the GAP tool it states that the AMK software is the latest version. I have know idea what a "Desiccant" is! haha- I will look it up on the googles and shop manual.
I appreciate the feedback
