Default Problem post vacuum system replace

My 2008 LR3 was idling erratically, bouncing from 400rpm to 1000 and occasionally stalled. It appeared to be a vacuum problem and with 120,000 miles I decided to change the vacuum system with the kit including the hoses ECT.. The vehicle then fired up and was idling great... When the vehicle was put in reverse to back out of the garage it started smoking heavily and stalled out. Upon trying to restart the starter just clicked... The starter was removed and bench tested ok... The motor can be turned 180 degrees and seems to bind up..... Any ideas??... I don't know if an issue could have been caused by something I did or a totally new issue???

Not enough info really. Did you do a hard reset after the work? Anytime something major is done its always best to do so.

What engine?

What did you all replace?

By Turing 180 degrees, it binds up then its free to move? You did not turn the engine backwards, right?

Thanks for the quick response... 2008 LR3 4.4 V8.... Replaced PCV valve and all the hoses, cleaned the throttle body and intake but did not spray anything inside.... After the vehicle stalled when reversing the starter seemed like it didn't have the power to restart and just clicked a few times each time the key was turned. To make sure the starter wasn't bad we took it out and bench tested it and it was fine. Manually rotated the engine forward 180 degrees until it binded. 1valve cover was removed and seem normal. I believe there are multiple timing belt/chain and wonder if there is a problem with the hydraulics of one??? You mentioned a complete reset? What is this? Simple? Or is it over my head?
