Default Question re: Trailer Wiring Harness

I recently installed a trailer wiring harness purchased from Atlantic British on my 2005 LR3 SE V8. As odd as this sounds, the trailer brake lights consistentlyflash a split-secondblink every second.(NOTE: the lights on the vehicle itself work normally). Other than the blinking, the trailer lights work normally when braking, turn signal, tail-lights, etc. Nothingblinks on the vehicle except the security light but it blinks at a different rate. Any ideas on what could be the explanation for this?

Sorry i think you were better off getting a landrover harness kit or you can check how they wired it up. on rover kits it splices in with the rear pdc sensors and there is a ground that connects at the left rear panel (white) it also wires into the brake lights (left rear tail lamp) check those out there should be nothing crimped or sodered into it.

Yeah, I have the same issue... I believe its due to the LED Trailer lights.

I have the actual Land Rover Harness, and it does the same thing. It doesnt bother me much though, I see it as a safety thing. LOL When the truck is parked, the led's are blinking..

IT IS THE LED LIGHTS. Not your harness I have talked to LR on this it is somthing the way it is wired up you can put in a resistor or re wire w/ reg lights also their is an adaptor to use to correct the issue but it is stupid expensive just turn on your lights and it will be less noticable
thier is more info on this if you search the archives

Yeh, surfing is FUN!

I use the stock ballast, and a 750lb bag in the rear, it throws a killer surf wake with a couple people and stock system..and the bag just makes it CRAZIER =)
