Replacing a cluster with a Used one with Higher Miles
Clusters are getting hard to come by.
I got a replacement has about 179k on it. My truck has about 172k.
I know everyone seems to say that you have to have a replacement cluster with lower miles on it.
What happens when you try one with more miles on it?

It will default to the higher mileage which in your case isn't much more.
I've read that you need to cycle the ignition numerous times before it will start and maybe lock and unlock a few times for good measure.
try this learning cycle-
ignition on for 1 minute, do not try to start it.
ignition off for 1 minute
do this three times, see if it starts after the third cycle.
i know it can be done as i have done it.

Well, that didn't work. But on the off cycles, I did take key out or ignition. Was that a issue with the process.?
All this after uploading your CCF. You don't have to send off for a express lane from GAP if you don't mind the mileage being off.
