Default Rocky Road OME 2” lift kit LR3

Hello all! I’m new to this forum and have owned my 2006 LR3 for about 9 months now. I recently ordered a complete HD suspension kit from Rocky Road Outfiters and have received the OME coil springs. However I have not received the shocks and am actually it sure if the kit I bought comes with the shocks? Do they ship individually? The kit I got was close to $400. Thank you in advance

I would call the vendor to verify, but going by price you only ordered the springs. My OME springs only, were $350 I believe.

From what I can tell, that part is springs only. But if you ordered a kit that detailed absorbers, I agree that you should call them.

I will add that standard coil spring compressors are not up to the task. With these springs if you don't have access to a professional wall or stand mounted spring compressor find someone to swap them in for you.

Looking at the website it took me a minute to find the parts I'm 99.9% sure your purchased springs only. It says to do the conversion to buy a conversion kit somewhere else. You need more than just springs and shocks.

So I looked on their site. It is a bit misleading. To me a "kit" is a complete project. I mean that is the whole idea of buying kits, has all you need so you dont have to piece it together yourself form multiple sources. The page does use the work "kit" a lot. Then they go on to use "complete", as in "Complete OME Suspension for LR3" with a price of $325. Which is pretty crazy cheap for a complete "kit". But under, it does say "Please note: If you have the air suspension on your LR3 you will need to convert it to standard coil springs using any of the inexpensive and easy to install kits available."

So from my point of view, its misleading. But I also know that the price would seem far too cheap. For novices, they really should clarify things better. Even when I added the "Complete OME Suspension for LR3" it says "kit" in the cart.

That website is a joke, it looks like something D.A.P would have made.

Yessir I am having a mechanic friend swap them for me. Thank you for the information

Yep definitely misleading. I couldn’t find any info on the site where it clarifies contents of the kit. Price wise yes I though it was cheap for coils and shocks but the site doesn’t say. I finally received an email response and they said that ome ensures that the springs will work with the existing shocks but they never actually answers my question if the kit comes with shocks or just coils
