Default Seat Heat - Drivers Side

Getting colder up here - need to look at this.

There's evidently something open somewhere - the GAP tool confirms circuit is the issue.

But do these "go" like D2's? As in the wiring in the pad eventually craps out due to excessive in and out movements? Which means removing the seat and possibly repairing?

Or is this more likely a wiring issue below the seat etc.?

I've checked the fuse and it's ok.

Mine just "went" too. Would love to hear input. Seat electrics are fine and checked the fuse and also seemed fine.

As far as I know the wires go to crap. My driver side is dead too and I should address it. Passenger side is pretty decent but sucks compares to what my Benz or BMW had.

Although seat heater mats vary in size and shape, they are all pretty much the same. The element inside either breaks from always being sat on, or they burn out (still an open circuit). If burned out, sometimes you can actually see a burn mark on the leather, it will be real tiny like a bit of cigarette ash fell. To confirm, you can ohm out the two wires for the element. The meter should not read "OL" I have done seat mats in the vehicle, but its easier just to pull the whole seat out.
