Anyone knows where I could buy a front steering skid guard for my LR3 ?
I dont want o spend $500+ for it..was wondering if anyone found aftermarket part or made it himself???

When you say steering skid guard, are you talking about what we generally call a sump guard? The LR comes with two armor plates up front. A large, thick underbody plate and a smaller protective plate below the oil filter. I'm assuming you're not talking about either of these, but just the aftermarket armor that would go in front and around these pieces of armor?

The only ones that I know of are Mantec and Terrafirma and they are both $500+. I believe there is a guy in the U.K. (Ray) who makes them as well, but when you factor in shipping, it will be just as expensive. I have a Front Runner, which is aluminum and may have been slightly cheaper (can't remember now), but I don't think they offer it in the U.S. anymore. You could always call them and see though. I'm sure Prospeed makes one as well, but unless Lucky 8 begins to import Prospeed stuff, nobody over here carries it. Plus, I'm sure it would be just as expensive. The problem is that none of these sump guards are manufactured over here, so they are stupid expensive to ship overseas. Plus, it's a lot of metal...
