You can get a hose kit from eBay and elsewhere. Looks like the link below. You can also likely buy hose and push connects to make your own. I think A heat gun lets you bend hose easily into shape. The good news is you do not needs those hooked up for operation, it will just be loud until you get it fixed. But I also would not want to drive with those openings exposed to the elements and dust.
But how badly did you damage them? I mean if you got them off you can generally cut some off to get a clean edge and insert into the new compressor anyway. Otherwise you will need the kit and or get creative with making your own kit. I think they hoses are 10mm and 8mm OD diameter. FYI, I damaged mine too because they were melted into the old compressor and I made my own kit. Bought pneumatic air tubing and push connects from Amazon.
Tks. Kit ordered. I will get the rest installed and cross my fingers that it corrects the issues. Then all I have to do is finish when the kit arrives.
Ok, the repair kit arrived. On the hose, there is a flange on one end. My guess is this is the end that goes into the pump. Then the other end attaches to the coupler while the end of the current hose attaches to the opposite end.
There are also brass inserts. My guess is one end goes into the flanged end of the hose that goes into the pump. But the brass fittings also have a flange. Does the flanged side on the fitting insert into the hose first or the other end first? What about the second brass fitting? Does this go into the opposite end of the replacement hose portion or into the hose that is left on the rover.
Then there is cutting to new hose to size and cutting off the damaged part of the remaining hose on the rover. What is the best way to do this? Pruning shears? Hack saw!
You dont need the inserts really. They do NOT go to the compresor end but to the coupling end. They just ensure the hose is true to round. But I never found a need to use them.
I would not. No need and they tend to rust up anyway. If anything, I would use anti-sieze. I actually replaced the j-nuts when I did mine - one was pretty much rusted away.
