Default Switching options on and off with Hawk Eye

hi I have a Hawk Eye OBDII and I thought I would be able to turn options on and off with it, One of my LR3's has had its Auto Wipers switched off by the previous owner and my other has had its front Parking sensors switch off, do I really need to go to the dealer to have stuff turned back on? I was led to believe that the Hawk Eye could do this stuff.

I don't know anything about the Hawkeye, but I think to disable the Park Sensors you just pull the fuse. Check to see if there is a fuse in the Park Sensor slot.

I think it should be a 5A (brown) fuse in slot 36. Double check w/ your vehicle's fuse chart. If there is one there, make sure it isn't blown.

fuse is there and fine, backs work fine. A lot of people had them turned off by the dealer because they can be annoying after reversing out of a space if you are in a line they will keep going off until you hit a certain speed. Don't like the idea of going to the dealer and being charged $180 + Tax to have them switched back on.

If you are ever in the Lake Norman area (2 hours away), let me know. I'd be willing to do it for free just to see how its done. That is something I never did with the factory tool.

so I had to go to my Local dealer today to pick up a Sun Shade for the LR3, so I ask one of the techs can you switch off just the front Parking sensors? He said No you can't you must have a fault, I said I do not have a fault on the dash and my Hawk Eye says no faults found I also add that the backs work fine. You have a fault he says and the back ones should not work. Well they do, he says well you can't turn the front off! Now I am 😕 think I will take you up on your offer LRt.

Not sure about the Hawkeye, but you can turn the front sensors off with the IID tool. You can either turn them all off, or just have the rear sensors active. You cannot have the fronts active and the rears off.

I don't know why they wouldn't be able to do it with the factory tool unless they just weren't familiar with it because they'd never been asked (or who knows... maybe they really can't). I'm fairly certain that the front sensors were an option (perhaps in the US, but almost certainly in Europe), so there would have to be a setting in the CCF to enable or disable that option.

Unfortunately, nobody with an IID tool will be able to help you because that would be one of the VIN locked options.

you can definitely turn the front sensors On and Off I have found lots of correspondence on various forums to prove you can. Think that the dealer has never been asked before.
