Default System Fault Special Programs Unavailable - No Compressor!

Hey Guys -

My car sat for 3 days at the airport under a covered parking garage and the LR was sitting on its bags when I got to it. I knew it was lower than normal and thought it would raise back up when I turned it on, NO LUCK! Also, the compressor didn't turn on.

Things I've tried:
  • Checked the battery voltage, the battery is good, 14.4V when on & 12.7V when disconnected
  • Did a hard reset, disconnected the battery and connected cables together for 10+ mins.
  • Connected the computer to the car and some old and new faults popped up, relevant ones are posted below. I cleared everything and it didn't change anything.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

The first code is the only one that worries me, the others are likely ghost codes from no real faults. Its weird that it is an ABS fault yet you have no dash faults for traction/ABS. Anyway... I think that fault is generated when the height sensors are out of range. Do you have sensor rods installed? Also a GAP tool may be more specific with faults in this instance.

Wow, it looks like I may of deleted my original message that I posted on this thread when I uploaded photos.

Do you have height sensor rods installed?

I installed the 2.5" Johnson Rods, no problems for weeks with them on.

Okay, that is what I thought. And you would not have issues, normally. But in you pic the truck looks much lower than normal. So now the rods have pushed the sensors out of range. This is why rods are the worst thing to install. Just get two jacks (one at front, one at rear) and jack the vehicle back up into a reasonable height so the sensors can be read again. It will start working.

To prevent this, you need to isolate the leak you have so it does not lower too far and put he sensors out of range again.

Just one of the reasons that an electronic lift is better then rods, get a Gap tool and it can do both diagnostics and lift.
