I’ve got a 2005 LR3 that unfortunately had some clogged roof drains the tail end of last year and I had tarped it for the winter, but somehow some water still got in and then we had some back to back storms in the Midwest where it was raining sideways. Finally got a clear day and I discovered mold high and low with soaked carpets. After much fighting and trying and pulling the mold is gone but when I’ve had to move it the parking brake system has gone haywire. I’ve lost my security control module so I have to manually lock and unlock the vehicle — but I can’t see anywhere that the water coming in the moonroofs would cause damage to the parking brake module. I clear the codes with my GAAP device and it comes back immediately.
any thoughts?

Reason: I can't spell brake
The EPB wires come to the CJB… and your water leak was (possibly) pretty much directly above it. If you suspect wiring, test for continuity. If the code pops back constantly you might want to share which one it is.
So I just watched a video of the RH Floorboard Water Leak and Drain Hose Replacement. The previous owner had already completed this fix, but the tip they put on it was clogged up. I guess I know what I am doing this weekend, provided the rain holds off. I had cleared the RH Front drain but a still getting some water in and need to clear the others. Not a whole lot of info on those that I've seen on Youtube. Any tips? I did discover a hole drilled through the floorboard on the RH side that I've never seen in my two years of ownership. Was working with getting the carpet dry and noticing the spot in the carpet and then saw my jeans down below. Just kinda like "Huh, don't like that." But maybe that was the solution the previous owner had. Sadly didn't get a lot of history from them. I'm third in line, the first owner took it to the dealership every time it made a creak, beautiful service records. Then a five year dark age, then I picked it up at an insurance auction and rebuilt the title and been driving it as a daily until that drain issue happened. Just didn't have the time to fix it, now I have to make the time. Ha.
Sorry for the double post, I am just now getting to pulling the CJB. While I am working on getting this out, maybe someone will see this. Once you have it out, removing the corrosion and checking the fuses, is there anything else that needs to be done to possibly address any water exposure? I plan on checking all of the fuses while I have it out to see if of some of them are blown. I faithfully drove this LR3 since the day I got it put back together for three years. I parked it late last year coming back from a trip where I started getting some engine noise that sounds like a vacuum leak or hissing, but only happens under acceleration of any speed, but only while in drive. Still haven't had time to research that one, but it doesn't make the sound in park when you accelerate. Anyway, thank you in advance and here we go!
Ignore Passive ignition relay code, almost everyone has it and Land Rover never figured iut hiw to eliminate it. Second code could be the little parking brake sounder speaker, located between pillar C and D on the driver side or faulty parking sensor.
Third code could mean faulty Brake Light Switch, easy enough to replace, but could also mean damaged wiring behind rear driver wheel on the chassis, right by the air strut.
Because I had water in the floor both sides do you think it could have zapped my brake light switch?
The vehicle didn't have the error for the parking brake when I parked it and then it all of a sudden did when I went to restore life back to it.
I went ahead and ordered the brake switch will be here Wednesday. I am faced with going ahead and doing the drain tubes while I've got it in such a state.
Passenger seat is out of the it so I could get to the loom and get rid of all of that water. The previous owner had drilled several holes in the floorboard one even through the carpet.. lol
Is there any type of tubing you would recommend?

Reason: Adding Content
Okay! Last double post from me unless I am posting an update. I posted the following in another thread to follow up with other folks that were helping out.
Just a little more information on the below, I was able to pull around the block, but the suspension kept lowering due to the fault codes from the AB Brake Switch, previously I couldn't move it 10 ft without the parking brake engaging so we're making great progress. Went ahead and hit everything with stop rust and let the air mover dry it.,. Vehicle is parked with a canopy over it just incase a rogue thunderstorm decides to wash me down stream again.
So I actually have some good news, I've got the Brake Switch showing up now as seen in my print out below. No more Parking Brake Failure.
And my key fob works for the first time in my entire ownership of the vehicle. It was a Kodak moment when I hit the fob and the lights flashed, absolutely thrilled.
So fingers crossed when the brake light switch comes in on Wednesday I will be able to get that swapped out and we should be back in business.
Hell the sound that I used to get under acceleration is gone now too from when I took it around the block.
I'm going to take tomorrow and pull the headliner and run all new tubes for the drains, I picked up 50ft of 3/8 hose with 1/2 push to connect fittings instead of a barb connector.
Thank you for the information on the center console because I do have an issue where the down leaver on my height adjustment doesn't work and I figured it would be something like that after I got to playing with it earlier.
I greatly appreciate the efforts and input everyone. I'm gonna jump back to my other thread and chronicle the remainder of this journey.

Silly question, but did you remove the plastic floor trim in the door sill both from and back door on the passenger side and make sure the wiring harness is dry? When the water gets in it can fill the channel holding the main wiring harness and you’ll get all sorts of alerts and issues until you open it up and thoroughly dry it out.
