If you’re in an environment with salt (ocean, spread salt in the winter), all the ladders that I know of will eventually rust.
I had a front runner one and I will never buy another. I even had it dipped in acid, hot dip galvanized with zinc, coated and painted, etc. it took about 4 years for it to look absolutely awful. Took it off a month or so back and threw it in the community metal recycling.
I went with the Eezi-Awn ladder for $275 USD shipped.I like the smaller profile and design. It's aluminum, so while the paint may eventually start to flake it will not rust. I use it every time I camp since I really do use my roof rack. Just tossing another option into the ring of you.....
Cool. I sent them a enquiry. They must make them to order as there is no pricing or ability to order on the site. Have you heard any good or bad about the Terrafirma?
I am sure Terrafirma would be another good option, probably one of the more popular brands for accessories. They have been making stuff specific to Rovers for a long time.
Terrafirma 4x4 is the same as allmakes 4x4 which is (nowadays) Britpart. Some things are good, like BP XS is supposed to be OE grade brake parts, some things are a bit less good. YMMV.
