Help!!!! I am thinking about buying either a 2008 LR3. It has 98,000 miles, drives really nice and smooth... Is it worth buy and how is the maintenance??

 

Did you hear any groaning/humming/roaring from under the vehicle as you drove, louder with throttle, around 45+ mph? If so, stay away (bad differentials). Did the EAS work as it should? Was there any knocking as you went over mild speedbumps or potholes? Any leakage anywhere? Wet floorboards (or corrosion on the wire/connectors under the carpet of the passenger floorboard)?

If you know what to look for the '08 you are looking at could be ship-shape. There WILL be maintenance and it will be expensive. This is not a Toyota or Honda. That said, it's a joy to drive/own.
