Thinking of purchasing an 08 LR3
hey guys - used to have a 99 DII years ago and need to have another LR!
Looking at 2008 LR3 with 72k miles, one owner (they are asking $22,898 - is that fair price) Sounds like rear diff might be an issue with these and wondering if anyone might be able to tell me from the carfax:
CARFAX Vehicle History Report for this 2008 LAND ROVER LR3 HSE: SALAG254X8A483017
OR VIN: SALAG254X8A483017
if there is an HD package on this?
Also considering LR2's - any feelings one way or the other. No kids - so OK if it's smaller. Don't do too much off roading and live in Boston so this thing will see some nasty winters!

My opinion, based ONLY on my experience, is that the price is high at almost $23k. I purchased my 08 HSE about 14 months ago, with very similar mileage, 1 owner from new, same dealership for all maintenance, excellent condition throughout, with HD package and factory-installed Warn Winch setup, for just under $21k.
Always hard to compare trucks since it really comes down to how they were taken care of and the type of person that owned them, but as a price comparison, there's an '08 SE w/95k miles (w/navigation) for $15,500 right now in my craigslist ads. And it has been listed for quite a while w/o selling. So, yes, I think that price is high. Another '08 HSE w/85k miles is listed at $16,500.
