Default Lr3 suspension compressor won't shut off.

Replaced the compressor because old one died, installed the new one, it lifts the vehicle but it won't shut off. Parts store said the part didn't need a flash so does anyone have any ideas?

How long did it run before you concluded that it won't shut off?

I believe it indeed needs to be calibrated once installed. Especially if it's the AMK.

Houm is correct - if it's the AMK it needs a software update.

I replaced my Hitachi with the newer AMK. It MUST get the software update, or else the ECU will literally kill your new compressor. THOUGH, my AMK runs longer than my old Hitachi. Ive been told this is normal, but will take precautions to make sure!

Hope this helps,

Eric

I believe there is also a relay that needs to be replaced on that.

That's correct, thanks for pointing that out! Totally slipped my mind.
