Thoughts on Febest front bearings?
Last time I took my 05 LR3 to the dealer they mentioned the front right wheel bearing/hub would need replacing soon, so I started looking around at prices. Amazon has a Febest part #LR014147 for $80, compared to the dealer (~$300) or Atlantic British ($249). Anyone have experience with these bearings or thoughts on yay or nay??

Pretty sure mine were Timken. No problems, but only driven about 15,000 since putting them on about a year ago. Make sure you replace both sides at same time. And unless you have a fancy 'removal' tool, you'll be hammering the heck out of the old Hub unit, so please please make sure you remove the Wheel Speed Sensor. I did not do this, and accidentally broke it. First timers mistake. Don't do what I Did!

Sorry to revive such an old thread, but I thought my question fit best here....
I think I'll need a new set of front wheel bearings... I know timken is a solid brand, but I've also heard great things about Detroit Axle...
At 1/4 the price of timken, very tempted. Anyone else running Detroit Axle hubs/bearings?

They are not very good. Go with what is proven. ***, Timken or SKF. These are very heavy trucks, the bearings are not an area to cheat on. Timken was the main OEM on the LR3 as far as I know and what I went with. Timken run $150 each via Rock Auto or Amazon (as long as sold and shipped by Amazon, not third party supplied).
