Default Time Limits on TSB Repairs?

Do TSB's expire? I'd like to replace my steering wheel airbag because of the peeling, bending outer vinyl cover.

LRNA calls it LTB00203v2 - Driver Airbag Module Distorted

v2 of this TSB was issued 4/2009 - my LR3 is 2009

Will a dealer still perform this repair free of charge?

thanks!

No, TSB don't necessarily expire, but service action under warranty and recalls evidently do... at least for Land Rover.

I think that's how LR gets around NTSB recalls.. I wonder how long it will work for them.

I have the same issue, and haven't heard from LR about repairing it, instead they slopped brake fluid all over the steering wheel the last time it was in the shop.

I logged into topix put in my VIN and it says no outstanding items.

So they replace that part...is the same thing going to occur or is the new part better? Looks like 0.1 hours of labor which is not much, but how much is the part cost? TSBs are not free, like recalls are.

Ohhhhhhh - so they'd charge for the part? Ha! Forget that.

I'm checking on the part cost. If it's $50...maybe up to $99....it'd be worth it to me. My steering wheel isn't bad but it does annoy me!

Tsb is just a service bulletin on how to fix a common problem. Recalls are for safety issues, and are free
