Tire Size - Yes, I said it...
Looked through a few threads on tire sizes and didn't really get the answer I'm looking for...
2008 LR3, stock 18" rims. What is my largest tire option? And what is it if I add the 1.5" Johnson Rods?
I think I can go 265/65/18 without the rods but maybe I'm wrong?
Want to get BFG KO2. I have them on my sprinter van and like them a lot for the basics.
Cheers.

Am I the only one that despises the metric system tire sizing? It's fine for sports cars but for off-road tires it's a nightmare to work with.

I too think the rods are a PITA. Much agree with houm_wa on that.
Heck for half their price you can get a cheap bluetooth scanner that'll re-calibrate your ride height with a few presses of buttons, I think I paid under $60 for mine. The IIDtool obviously is really nice if you have the $.
The tire size answer if you really want to get down to the very last bit will depend on the specific brand and model of tire, though the numbers on the side state the size, they lie. I've found 31's that measure larger than 32's for example from the same brand even. Go figure. Then there's the fact that what one guy considers "fitting' is absolutely no rubbing under full bump, where as another guy like myself believes that if there's visible damage being dealt, rubbing is fine and dandy on the trail. I've let my wrangler's fenders be shaped by the wearing of it's tires under it quite a bit over the years, a full inch or more worth. As stated though, use the search function and keep these others thoughts in mind when reading.
