Hi Guys,
yesterday I changed my LR3 05 HSE oil (AMSOIL Extended Life Synthetic Motor Oil - 2 gallons=8 quarters) and after checking oil level with the stick I noticed that the level is like 3mm over the max hole. It does not look too much
but I just wanted to hear some feedback from you guys and see if that would be bad for the engine? and if I need to drain a bit of it.
I guess the problem was that I had the car on ramps so maybe there was a bit that did not drain enough.
Thanks in advance.

1. SW is right.
2. Hard to drain a little, but they do sell a clever little vac pump in the lawn mower departments that can suck out modest quantities (like a quart or two) thru a narrow hose in the dip stick hole. It can be done.
3. If you grossly overfill, the crankshaft will touch the oil pool as it rotates and engine will feel terrible, low power, you'll know it (and I learned that on a Mitsubishi, which survived for almost 300K after I restored the level). So no damage.
