TPMS warning
Swapped the wheels on my 2007 LR3 from the OEM 18" 10-spoke wheels to the OEM 18" 5-spoke wheels, and new tires.
The garage forgot to swap over the TPMS monitors out of my old wheels, so I have a constant TPMS system malfunction warning light.
Got a couple questions:
1. Is it going to damage the system to drive this way, until I can get over to the shop and have them swap out the TPMS monitors?
2a. Is there a way to shut off the TPMS malfunction warning indicator?
2b. If I can shut off the TPMS malfunction warning indicator, would it harm anything to keep it that way as long as I own this vehicle and forgo the TPMS system altogether? I check my tires regularly and don't have a need for the system.
Thank you and Semper Fi!

I don't have the TPMS in my '05, so I can only speculate. I can't see it damaging the system at all, but if it were me I'd drive back to the shop and ask them to swap over the sensors. They shouldn't beef about doing that.
Thanks for your service in the Marine Corps.

I did battle with my TPMS system earlier this year.
AFAIK there is no downside, other than the annoyance factor, to operating the system with a warning light on. And @EastCoast is right -- pulling the fuse is your only solution and yes, that affects bumper sensors as well.
I paid like $50 (I think...) for a single sensor when I got my full size spare. So depending on what you want to do with your 10-spoke wheels, selling them with sensors may add value to that sale. That's up to you. Personally I'd have the shop move them over and sell the wheels w/o sensors.
