Default Tracing wires - rear diff temp sensor

Looking for a bit of help tracing wires from my rear diff temp sensor. The wires ripped off in the wiring harness before I purchased the vehicle, and unfortunately the harness that I believe it goes to is high up enough above the rear axle that it’s near impossible to get to and splice the wires back in their original location. The actual wire ripped off inside the harness, and I can’t even find the bare ends on the harness side.

Can anyone confirm that the wires from this sensor do indeed go to the wiring harness connector behind the left hand (driver side) rear wheel? It’s located on the frame and has a few connectors that I believe run back into the cab.

My plane is to hopefully find the wires just downstream of the connector where it’s more accessible, splice in a new run of wire and run it to the sensor. Short of getting a whole new harness I think this is going to be the best way of fixing this sensor and allowing me to use my rear diff again.

Remind me to come back to this with more details, but those connectors come apart and down from there, which makes them slightly easier to work on. The sensor most likely runs through there, but I have to look up the diagrams later tonight then I can help a lot more. The first step is to find the torn ends and ID the colors of the wires.
