V6 vs v8
A lot of Horse Power and Torque loss going to the V6. MPG rating is only offset by 1. The V6 makes no sense which is in part why it's no longer available. The one and only advantage to buying the V6 was that is was cheaper.
Can't speak for Canada. Here in te states only V8 models are available. I believe LR stopped making them in 2006-2007 time frame. I assume of course you're talking about buying a brand new one. If you're buying used, then off course there are V6 available. Either way. I'd steer away from the V6. Like I said, only advantage whatsoever is the lower price. That odd size tire is a mess to find a good replacement for, big loss of power and no gas savings to speak of, and lots of nice goodies not available or added at a premium price. Just not worth the price difference to me.

I have used both and I have not seen that much of a difference.

I test drove the v8 and v6 back to back in town I could not tell much of a difference between the two. I did opt for the v8 I pull a 22" boat so I figured I wouldnt regret the v8 and I dont. But if the price would have been right for a v6 I would probably be driving that right now and I would be running 17" rims with some agressive mud tires on it
