Default Video of Wheeling with ARBs Front and Rear

Hey guys,

I got some decent footage over the weekend of my LR3 wheeling, thought I'd share with you guys. The first climb I do, I was unable to get up the hill with just the standard traction control the last time I was here. I had to take the go around further to the left. This time, 2nd attempt I walked up it, locked front and rear. Enjoy!

Nice vid, Dave. Looks like some pretty large obstacles. I couldn't understand what the hangup was on that hill you had to winch up towards the end. Was the surface so slick you were spinning all four? How did the other vehicles do on that hill?

Haha. Pine needles and having the wheels cocked would be my guess.

As with any video -- It doesn't give quite the real incline of it. It was wet under all the pine needles. The angle of the wheels had nothing to do with it, I had turned all the way lock to lock trying to get up. It had rained the prior 2 days -- so the surface itself was dry, but spin at all and it got very mucky everywhere we went. A good example of this was the longer hill where the black toyota slid sideways toward the tree. If it was truly dry, he wouldn't have what so ever.

With my rear tires being in a wet pocket, and all the weight off the front, it just wasn't going to happen without another retry. As for the others trying it? Nobody else wanted to attempt it. That hill is usually only done by full on buggies that can suck down the suspension in the front to lower their height and reduce the 'light feeling' as they go up.

I look forward to doing it again when it's dry sometime! The previous time I was there, it was DUSTY -- soooo very dry, but the lockers were not in. The first scene of my truck going up that section -- the LR3 would not climb that prior without lockers. I was very happy when it went up with minimal effort!

Thanks for the explanation. You're right those details cannot be seen from the video.
