Thanks for the input. I haven't paid as much attention to the LR because it was my wife's daily and I couldn't get to it. My son needed it but in September he's off to college and my daughter (2 years behind him) will use it for 2 years then she follows him to college. I'll then drive it a lot more and hope to learn to use it the way it was meant to be used. I thought about providing a different car for the kids but I figure it's paid for and will certainly keep them safe for their first two years behind the wheel.

I am maybe a little paranoid about their safety because their Mom and my wife of 20 years past away six months ago of a sudden death syndrome (still don't know which). It was instant, in her sleep, and gentle. I thank God for that.

Anyway, I have always wrenched on my cars from two highly modified Subaru's to a new Chevy SS sedan (still researching mods but what a hoot to drive). I'll get the truck in the air either Sat the 6th (taking the kids on a small vacation this weekend, other plans the following one) or the 20th. I'll post up what I find if anything and go from there.

Once this thing is buttoned down we'll talk again about covering the essentials and where to go & who with for off road excursions in SoCal.

Geez....so sorry to hear about your loss, that's heartbreaking. Take care of those kids, man.

Once you get the truck in the air it will be easy to look at things. I just don't see the swaybar end links snapping on their own. I also think that if the bushings were so worn out as to create a pronounced body roll, there would be other symptoms too (clunks and wobbles and bad alignment).

I'm betting you'll find the passenger side front lower control arm resting firmly on the shock and maybe a snapped swaybar end link.

Hmmmm, wait. Any suspension faults?

Wow- sorry to hear about your wife. That's a tough blow.

As for who and where to go in SoCal, here you go:
https://www.sclr.org/

A good group, and we run some joint trips with them (I'm in NorCal). We did a Coyote Flat trip with them last month and every February do a Bald Mountain snow run together. We also have a Pismo joint trip coming up in the fall and might do a SEKI joint run in a couple months.

Thanks, doing the best I can. Blessed with great kids. Toughest so far is learning to cook and feeding them on time. I'm getting there.

No faults, last it was in the shop (maybe two months ago) I asked them to check why it seems to slightly lean down on the passenger side. I was told they found nothing out of the ordinary. If you stand behind it on flat level ground it has a very slight lean to the right.

Thanks Don, I'm a few months or so away but I'll be checking it out in good time. Too much going on at the moment. Trying to sell the wife's Dental office (managing it in the meantime while still at my full time job), Son heading to college this Sept., etc.
