No they don't. They are fused together and not glued. I basically had to break them apart and I used black rtv to seal them up again. I only did the tail lights because I wanted to practice before screwing up my headlights but the headlights are so much easier.

Default blackened out headlights

I just blackened out my headlights with blackout tint. Just need to put the lights back on the truck. Waiting for the soap to dry and some air bubbles to work its way out. Will take pics when on truck.

Default Remote relay operated switching?

Am I to assume that the on off switching for the lights is controlled by the display?

If so, I am impressed. I have not seen anything like that before. I assume the display operates relays?

Yes, Its a lesser known capability of the Kenwood V500 controller and Kenwood KOS-L702 7" Touch Screen. Besides Video, Backup Cam, 2nd Camera, GPS and Bluetooth inputs, it also provide external 12V switches. I ran these to an unused relays in the engine fuse box and powered the lights from there.

The UI screens are a little dated, but capabilities and cheep map updates are still unmatched by anything LR has. Here are few of the screens:

Under Truck View:

Input Select Screen (This was the default screen colors, I have since switched to the grey shown previously on the external switch screen):

Gamin 2014 Maps:

"Finding Nemo" from the overhead DVD player/ 10"Screen:

There is a remote control but I have never used it. The 1st hard buttons on the bottom of the screen scrolls though the audio sources, the 2nd button scrolls though the video sources. This way you can listen to the movie or Bluetooth, but display the GPS or under car camera. I like the versatility, but it took a little getting used to audio and video being disconnected.

I had a new alternator and battery installed today and a few days before that new front pads.

I just got back from overseas last month and have been trying to get all the maintenance up to date other then her dying in the middle of the road last night (alt and battery) I am happy to be driving her again. Now I just need to make time to install the snorkel that I order awhile back.

Welcome home soldier and thank you for your service! If its the LR OEM snorkel, do yourself a favor and have the dealership install the RIVNUTs. Its not worth buying the tool, and they are a PITA without it. The rest is a piece of cake.

Hey Guys,

I have to change the EGR Valve in the right hand side on my LR3, and I searching about EGR valves. Found an OEM version, Valeo. Is it okay? Other question is, have to I change both sides of EGR valves? Or enough just what isnt working? Someone told me I have to change both sides for new ones.

Default Positive Crankcase Ventilation valve - two?

I have an LR3 with the 4.4L petrol V8. I recently replaced what I call the PCV valve and I only replaced one of them. Are there two?

I think we are talking about the same thing as the PCV and EGR valve naming tend to be interchanged, or am I wrong and the EGR is something else.

Below are a couple of jpg's of the PCV valve that I changed out; it is located on the top of the engine just under the black plastic cover. The Land Rover part number is LR003380.

As to one supplier being better than the other, I do not know.
