Default What kind of tires for 22” rims

I’m doing a 2.5” lift for my 2008 LR3, and I was looking at some 22” rims that I really like. What size tires should I get if I go with 22”.

22's don't belong on a 4wd vehicle and pointless fitting rods since you cant fit decent size tyres on that size rim.

If you're dead set on it get a thin sidewall. Probably gonna have to trim the front and back of the wheel wells and gonna have no turning radius because of rubbing.

Also putting a lot of extra stress and wear on your tranny, xfer case, cv joints and diffs

I’ll add that with a 2-2.5” lift the OP should be able to clear 32-33” tires, which will leave a similar sidewalk height to the standard tires (255/55) on 19” wheels. Going this large will leave you stranded if your air suspension goes out, but I doubt that’s a huge problem since you are probably staying on pavement with 22” wheels.

Its your vehicle, enjoy it.
