Default wheels and tires

Hi everyone. I know this is atopic that has come up in the past. I have an 07 LR3 HSE with 21k and everything is good so far. The stock tires are wearing pretty evenly, however I know I will need to replace them soon. Does anyone know of a wheel package that is available that I can buy for offroad or winter use?? I know the 19" are hard because of the choices out there. I prefer steel but have met a few people that are putting on the 18" fact. wheels... Any input would be appreciated.

Will you be wheeling much, want additional traction over current tires, if so, consider a set of 18's with some 285/65/18's like the Nitto Grappler.
What a difference in ride and traction.
Now as for the wheels, steel or alloys will be fine.

I traded my 19 wheels for factory 18s and put on a set of 265/60/18 Silent Armours. What a difference in both traction and ride comfort. Oh, and no tread noise to go with it plus they are recognized by RMA as extreme winter tires as the iceburg/snow flake stamp on the sidewall indicates.

I'm having the same problem. Can't find a cheap set of 18" rims to use strictly for off-roading. I have found lots of 16 and 17 inch rims though in steel (jeep style) are there serious drawbacks to using such a small rim? once u get into that wheel size, the tire options open up tremendously!

If you have an HSE they won't clear the brakes, and 16's are too small for the SE. There were some SE's being sold with 17's but I'd double check to make sure they'd clear the brakes.

I see. Guess I'll just have to keep looking for 18s then.
