Hello folks. I’m a sf Bay Area gal with two LR3s that I love to pieces, but I have too many cars and I’m consolidating now. Where do you post your vehicles for sale? And does anyone know of another good forum if it’s not here (the best place)?

This is probably the most active US forum for the LR3.

You can sell here:
https://landroverforums.com/forum/market/

Also, FB marketplace, OfferUp, and Craigslist couldn't hurt.

Bring a trailer has seen some nutty Lr3 prices lately. You might look into that as well.

Well that bodes well for us owners....I am seeing a disparate pricing dichotomy out there. Really nice ones for big bucks, and real "rescues" for under $6k.

I would say FB Marketplace is #1 for buying and selling right now - be prepared for dealing with annoying people there, but nowhere else has the coverage and traffic they do.
I'd also recommend Tred - when you list with them, which is cheap, they post on many of the major commercial car sale sites, and they can also handle the transaction details like bank transfer (so you don't have to deal with handling a bunch of cash and verifying it's not counterfeit etc etc) and title/registration transfer for you and the new owner.

You're right about that price gap houm. "Overland" style ones can go for quite a bit (at least they are advertised that way) - 9-15k, while ones with issues can go for sub 3-4k.
Decent ones without known issues are still 8k or less, often much less, from private sellers. At least that's the case in my area. Price is very much location dependent.

Haha, my pair resemble the above too.

There is nothing wrong with the '06, but it's got a lot of miles and has some paint blemishes and such (from the previous owner). The '05 is a mildly built HD variant with 132k miles and the paint/body is perfect. I love them both.
